Fiber Optic Cable Extension

Here at ProTek Fiber we take great pride in performing customized fiber optic intallations! In certain instances we’re even able to utilze the current fiber optic cabling to create a better customized solution. This was the case on a recent fiber optic installation job for Proof Research.

The client expanded to a new location with an existing ISP connection from a local fiber optic service provider. ProTek Fiber was requested to extend the fiber optic cable from the service providers hand-off in the DEMARC to the location of the customer’s router.

A Little Cold Weather Doesn’t Stop ProTek Fiber

Client contacted ProTek Fiber to troubleshoot existing fiber optic cabling during very inclement weather.

Based on the pictures below, it may sound like we’re stating the obvious…BUT IT WAS COLD! That didn’t stop us, though, from helping our client solve their structured cabling problem. Norfolk Souther Railroad has to operate regardless of how cold the temperature drops, and when they were experiencing issues due to existing cabling terminations and in-place damaged structured cabling, they called ProTek Fiber. We understand how important your structured cabling needs are as well, that’s why we offer a Free Site Survey in order to help you identify how we can provide a customized structured cabling solution.

ProTek Fiber Offers Innerduct Conduit Installation

Is your Internet service provider installing fiber optic cabling from the street to your office building? If so, you may be responsible for providing an Innerduct Conduit Pathway from the building entrance point to the LAN room for the new fiber optic cabling.

ProTek Fiber can help you meet those requirements by installing Plenum or Riser rated Innerduct Conduit for your service provider’s fiber optic pathway. We also supply a pull cord inside the conduit for cable pulling ease.

ProTek Fiber also has the capabilities to install MaxCell Fabric Innerduct in existing or new Conduit pathways. MaxCell is a flexible, multi celled, textile Innerduct system that provides dedicated pathways in congested riser ducts and allows for future expansion.
